So dig the horn out of the surface and glue it into the other hole. simple fix and a small patch of covering or filler wont be noticed

Instead I cut a hole in the plywood and added a riser on the inside(to clear the tire) for mounting the receiver. It worked out well for me. I'm using a JR 11-X with a 9 channel receiver. The receiver is powered by a separate lipo with a voltage regulator. I maidened it today and it went perfect. I'm using Tam's TJ 1409-Y for power and Tam's struts and brakes as well. The speed was a little slower than I expected, but the batteries are brand new. It was dopplered at 115 mph. in level flight. I'm sure the speed will increase as the batteries break in.
What are your wattage readings and amp draws? Should be in the 2.4 to 2.7kw range depending on motor timing and up to 97 amps. If your only showing 1.7kw and 55ish amps, I may know your issue.

Larry stated he is using 30C 4S Batteries batteries?? Could this be a problem?? Timing should medium on 12 or 16??

Battery most likely, timings worth a few watts not 700-1000W.
Numbers seem more like a 7S pack to me.
Breaking in lipos doesn't explain it either, too large of a difference.

Crap....one my NIB Venom 50c 4s 5000mAh had 1 bad cells. Now don't had complete pair. I sold all the 50C 4s 5000mAh to one of the customer back east. Now I don't have new cells to play.
Now I had to use Turnigy pack. I test other day Turginy put out 200 watts less than Venom pack and heavier.

I just got one of these babies, The plan is to start building as soon as I get the rest of what I need + figure out a few things.

I have the Airframe/eflite retracts/CC 100Amp ESC.

Too many pages on this thread for me to go through and I'm interested in what people are using for servos.

The biggest dilemma I have is what EDF unit and motor I'm going to use, Has anybody looked at the Schubeler DS-44-DIA HDT ????????

Any Support Would be Much Appreciated
