Am I the only one running high kV motor on EF planes....1130kV swinging a 12x7 on a 3s setup is sweet...
Do you have any video's of that plane on 3s? I'd like to see that as all I have is 3s packs. Not sure if I want to go down or up in kv.

Anyone know if the landing gear from the 64" MXS will fit on the 48" MXS?
I know, strange question, but I'd like some more prop clearance.

I stuffed the landing gear from a 60" Edge into a 3dhs 51" Slick, though I had to dremel about 2mm off so that it would fit into the landing gear channel. The 3dhs 51" Slick landing gear is perpetually sold out, and I had a gear from the 60" Edge laying there... so I made it work. Much stronger 51" Slick gear now!
It would take a lot more dremeling to make them fit into a 48" plane though. The landing gear channel is much narrower.

Are you using gorilla glue or epoxy? I haven't had any problems with epoxy (20 and 30 minute). While I have always roughed up the surface, I haven't always cleaned the dust afterwards.

I usually put some epoxy in the slot, then on the horn/base, then insert.

Which surface(s) are you having trouble with?

so far rudder only... but as im just about to finish my 51 slick, and around christmas ill be getting 60 exp,im just thinking to swap airframe next year...

first time i didnt roughen the horn, it came out recently, now i roughened the horn, didnt clean the slot and gorilla glued it, and in 3 flights it came out...im kinda afraid to try it 3rd time, both times it was hard not to trash the plane... much harder than when the aeleron goes lol...

Try drilling 3 or 4 1/16" holes thru the bottom of the horn, then use epoxy to glue it in place. That should hold it.
