so they are more of a hs65mg replacement?

nac, do the long servo arms come in the kit for the ailerons. Also how does your nose cone fit with that motor being 45mm long, do you have much overhang for mounting. Rated 600w should give you plenty on power.

Hey guys, thanks for your responses.

The kit does come with two servo arms for the elevator and rudder.
But I actually didn't use them and instead used some CF ones from HobbyCity.

I used these 40mm ones for the ailerons and rudder:-

And this 58mm one for the elevator:-

I haven't fitted the cowl on yet, I'll do that when I get home today. It will fit but only just. The motor itself should sit flush with the front of the cowl with the aluminium prop mount sticking out. The only issue with this is that a spinner will stick out a bit.

The motor I used on my EF Edge is 42mm long and only just fits. I have ordered the below motor at 40mm long for the MXS hoping I would have a bit more room to move plus at 600w should give plenty of power.

Actually I have used one of those motors in the past on an PA Ultimate AMR. On 4S with a 13x6.5 prop I measured just over 2kg static thrust, so with a bigger prop you be right.

Cool... I will be using a 14x7 at this stage. How did the motor perform overall, would you buy another?

OK so most of my build is now done.

I just need to put on the stickers and do some adjustments.
nac, I'm using the 35-42-1000kv in my EF Edge I like them to so far so good.

Cool!

What prop are you using? Are you using 3S or 4S?

3s and I started with 13x6.5 and bumped up to the 14x7. I might back down to bring down the watts since it had plenty of snot with the 13x6.5. I'm assuming your going to run 4s with your 750kv?

Nah, I don't have the 750kv motor any more.
I am using an SK3542-1000 with S3 nano-tech 2650mAh 35-70C Lipo's.

BTW it is finished!

Now I just need some nice weather to maiden.
