Oh no - he lost a button! There should be another button under his right lapel. It must have come off somewhere. Good job painting the Blue Max... that must've required a microscope.

The pilot is looking really good. I've especially enjoyed your detailed explanation about mould making. So many pilots on the market look just terrible, and you're making the creation of a more personalised and detailed pilot achievable.

Can't wait to see him dirtied up a bit and in place...

It's probably at the bottom of the cockpit...

Man, that pilot is looking awesome, but he has some SERIOUS war wounds. Somebody shot both his legs below the knees and most of his tush and his private plumbing off.

Hmm. That's odd. I don't see it in any of my photos. It was probably in the shipping box Somewhere. Ill cast one and glue it on.

What ya thinking for your next build? Would be fun to "build along" with you. Although certainly not at the same skill level.

I was wondering that myself... Each build is raising the bar higher and higher though.

I'm betting on a 1/12 scale Felixstowe F2a (95 and 5/8 inches wing span). Should chug along nicely on a couple of 480s.

Think of all the possible schemes!

Cheers,

It would be difficult enough for me to watch Hammerd build the Felixstowe F2a in 1/12 scale (and not want to go and start yet another project myself). 1/6 scale would be much more than I could bear!

Next thing on the agenda is to repair the FE8. After that, I don't know. I'd like to build another German plane though.

I finished up Fritz. He's ready to take his place in the cockpit and get to work now.
Some washes, paint, and pastels add depth. Clearcoats, of various gloss levels, seperate the different simulated surfaces. I'm pretty happy with the results, but wish I were as good as this fellow. http://www.youtube.com/user/MichToyC...61/a46nYVThCa4

Yes, warhead_71's "amateur" work is much better than anything available from "professionals" as far as I'm concerned. He's very talented.
BTW, he came in at only 2.8 oz. , and I can still remove a good portion of his back to make him even lighter.
