We have meteors in stock now.. I am about to test out some custom struts with dynam retracts to allow the meteor to rocket off grass... See the attached photos..

rorrock, check the axels and be sure their not short, I got a set with shoddy workmanship, short axel and a split rim on one strut. Got mine from Ming for 37usd delivered, he replaced the strut/axel/wheel for free. Poor mfg Q.C. imho

Apex,
Not sure if they are from the same factory.. Mine are all pretty good.. Even come with spare Clips, a set of stronger springs and plenty of grub screws...

The grass should not be an issue the issue should be the landing gear, especially the front gear bending. I bent mine after an emergency landing nothing was damage on the plane expect the front gear bent a little bit. I would get new gear for the plane or you can hand launch it. Hope this helps!

Believe it or not, plane has enough power on 4 cell to take off from grass. And that's with a pretty big and heavy 4 cell- 5000mAh.

To land, make sure you pick patch which is mowed short.

"Silver Bullet" The meteor fastest and most beautiful in the world !!!!! If there is a meteor soon let me know. Thrust is very absurd, takes off vertically! I would like to see a meteor faster and with more thrust!

I am not sure what measurement you were radaring the plane in. But using my rcspeedo and current temp the fastest I got was from the second video (bungee launch one). The speed was 121mph. If you can provide me with a best guess as to the temp at the time of the flights I can see about getting you a better speed reading. For some reason the bungee launch video had clearer sound on it even with the rooster crowing. I was able to get almost every pass.
