Yippee!

rodelmodell ask 21 4.2 meters

had this for a couple of months now after it had been in a guys loft for several years gathering dust.
i flew it and it went well but it needed to be updated.

i also fly the real thing at my local club and decided to turn the model into a replica.
its all done but im not happy with the canopy as its showing its age plus i would like a more detailed cockpit.
im thinking of stripping the inside out and re locating all the radio gear over winter. but then if it aint broke then dont fix it.
well im off to my first aerotow this weekend so fingers crossed it doesnt look too old and rubish against the lovely expencive carbon ships that will no dout be there.
does anyone have a new canopy just sitting around? know where i can get one?
and any ideas on availability of better cockpits for this model?

Roedel is still in business, you can try ordering the canopy from them.

Soco,

I bought one of these second-hand a while back, and am just now getting to it. It was assembled and maybe flown, but the workmanship was a bit rough, so I felt I could spruce it up a little.

Sorry, no pictures, my camera is on vacation. My canopy is tinted blue, but otherwise is the same as yours.

get building it....you wont be disapointed by its flying performance.

Soco, my ASK seems light to me as well. Once I get it completed, I'll be sure to post weight results. Camera has come home, so I will post some pictures as time permits.

Bob, git-er-done!!

John, is this how you protect us from the hell of nuclear devastation? Get back to work!!!

Actually, those pics at the top of the page make me itchy to get it out of the box. Maybe it's
time for a trip to Pleasant Valley to take some pics of and/or get checked out in theirs for some further incentive.
