At 6'3", and, uh, comfortably over 270 lbs., I'd:
1.Never fit in a Cricri, and
2. Never get it off the ground if I could.

I would never have flown that plane no matter what (Except using RC gear... Looks dangerous)
But smallest in the world? No. The BD-5 could be built with 64cm shorter wingspan, and 2cm shorter fuselage.

Cri Cris claim as smallest is in the smallest twin category. It uses the same engines as a lazair ultralight which was flown on electric power a couple of years ago.

You could build an electric power system to get one in the air from hobby king but battery capacity is always going to be a huge issue. Noone wants to fly a fullsize aircraft for less than an hour.
