Needs to do 52 legs !!

Richard, not seen a plastic one but sounds like a good idea.

I hear yesterday a Speedfire in Bad B Eurotour had a prop failure. I wonder who it was and what the prop was.

Andre, the RW2B wing is still good. Why don't you make a better fuselage for it?

Joe,

The Prop was a RFM, the Speedfire makes ( still ) a lot off noise pffffffffffffff.
But I think is was because of the big fuselage.
The develper told me that he would make a new fuselage ( smaller )

Greetings Frank

Frank,

I am holding my breath then.

Looks to be a good plane (with new fuselage) at a much more affordable price.

Joe,

I think I'm the only one that likes this square lipo fuse, it's roooooomyyyy!!!
no split batteries needed, no hard job to fit a 6S 3300

The plane flew OK, like Frank says, a lot of noise, so a loss of energy.
The fuse is huge, i think you can put in 5S 2P.
The wing has a lot of dihedral.
In the turns it looks like it is breaking, so much dihedral, and that are not my words..
The plane will be about 550 euro without servo's and a delivery time of 1,5 month.
I have looked at it very carefully, maybe it was a prototype but compared with an RFM Surprise of Avionik i think the Avioniks an Surprises are better build.
But.. maybe it was a prototype, that was the plane with the exploded prop, without a nose.

It is very funny to read any "clever" comments Primary from people which don't see my plane.

Clearance on my plane are good. I don't have any problem with this. Go One fly with similar system and world can be wonder, it works ! ! !

Spinner - immortal question Next my plane will have 36mm spinner. I thing 32 or 33mm bring nothings. Georgi make spinner 36 and 38mm and all propeller can be used for this diameters. Who from my costumer want fly with sergey props ? One or two?

2 or 1 servo. I thing next plane will be really with one servo. I say why... less work for me. Other advantage ? Nothing. Same weight for one or two servos system and and and ....

Avioniks and Surprises are better build - I was on the contest in Bad Brückenau too. Don't see any Avionik and Surprises which has better building quality. Maybe i need glasses

Hi Petr,

It was a pleasure to meet you in Bad Bruckenau and see you fly!
Hope you had a good trip home.

The props of tomorrow
Hello ,

Today was the maiden flight !

Plane is flying great. Not loosing altitude like the Enigma in the turns.
I flew it with let's say 40% CG the "factory settings" are for 33%. This was with my "soft" 1512 1D setup. The thermal is a piece of a cake. At low speeds (at big altitude) with this CG there was some airflow detachments(stalls) but not such problems at real legs speed.I really like it. The true test will be on the bases after one month or sooner.
I will then upgrade to my 6kW+ setup and will practice more to get used to the plane.

Regards

I can get a good look at a T-bone by sticking my head up a bull's ass, but I'd rather take a butcher's word for it

Ok Petr, how about I make my own 32mm nose fuselage?

Will the wing change at all for your new fuselage or will it stay the same?

Build quality: if it is anything like the backfire, is better than straair, and that says a lot. Is it an avionik? It felt the same to me, but you cannot judge before seeing how much the plane will endure.

Noise: I have a hard time finding fault with thte airfoil. This is not a kid in his basement carving wings out of foam. Dirk Pflug is responsible for the airfoil, and I have enough faith in his work to trust it. When I watched the protype fly, I can say that it thermals almost as well as the 2.4m backfire. Loss of speed in turns was better than surprise 14. I cannot judge against avionik, because that day the motor setup was only 3k, so there was not as great an entry speed as I am accustomed to watching on the b08. Yes this also means speed loss in turns observed was what I am used to seeing in the b08's at the third leg.

I am ordering mine as soon as I decide on colors.... (could take a while)

Rich,

Asside from mentioning that Dirk Plug knows his stuff your post is purely subjective and non scientific. No measured data.

Sorry but I don't class you as an expert either so....

If Wolf on the other hand comments on noise and or bending wings I take notice.

Still I prefer measured data. Failing that, results!

I did not see any wing flex on a 3kw setup. And unless "Iron" Remo is always at the controls, I personally believe that course results are more subjective structural observations. Then again, I'm sold, if you are on the fence, then best to await more real world numbers; if I was competitive I know I would!

Cheers

I have seen the speedfire in Bad Bruckenau and it looks good.
About the noise people where asking why my avionic makes a different noise then the others. I believe it is because of i made 2 cooling holes in the nose.
For the speedfire i believe when there will placed a small tape on the hinges the noice will be totaly different. Maybe Petr can test it by himself and let us know.

Tape on the hinges ? on the ailerons ? or I'm not understanding what you mean ?
I can also test it.
