Hello ,
Plane is ready to fly now. All settings adjusted as advised by Petr. With my 4S setup 1512 1D CC 125 and NeuEnergy 4100mAh the weight is 1608gr. With my 6S setup 1512 1,5D (blue monster) CC 125 and 6S 3250mAh - 1730gr. - but motor and cells too heavy. It takes about 2-3 hours to get it done. Flap deflection for butterfly can be even more but my radio can't do it, however it's good enough. Some pictures attached. Maiden will be delayed due to bad weather conditions. |

Looks good.
But..... the linkages are as i thought they would be. This means very short moment arm on the controll surface horn. This means not all travel on servo is used. This means probably a lot of slop. Even if servo has very short arm also, all these short arms will see a lot of force so slop will develop. Fuselage is huge, tailboom also huge. In comparison B08 is 8mm wide and 12mm high (from memor), the B06 and B1L tailboom fit inside the B08 so are even thinner. Also a shame the nose diameter is not the standard 32mm. Sorry for negative writing, it is a nice plane ofcourse. |

Joe is always there as usual ... but .
Joe the linkage is great. No slop, great controlling and no problems at all. One thing I don't like in the Avionik is that the ail/flaps are cut downside. Also that the linkage is donwside. Then this wing is about 10gr lighter. About the fuse, fuse have some weak spot in design but , it's very light and strong. Then the big outside diameter is because of the 2 rods passing from the servos to the V-tail , no way to be thinner. Also you can fit inside whatever Lipo you want. About the "standard" 32mm... who said it's a standard ? Also there is no difference at all if it's 33, 36 or 38mm ... at all. Fuse don't create such drag as the wing. Example : are the fuses of the big gliders like needles ? This is not important. However I'm not saying it's better than Avionik - I can't say this. It's a cheaper ship. The idea is to brake the walls with cheaper ship. |

Georgi, i really would like to hold that wing in my hand after 50 flights and feel the controll surfaces. Maybe it will be fine, i don't know. Yes i am very critical. Hope it works as it would be really nice and clean.
Why have 2 rods in the fuselage boom? For F5B flying 1 Servo and 1 rod is enough. Nose diameter, as discussed with Petr himself. I think it is better to provide a 32mm nose. If people really want 36-38mm they can cut it back them selves. Sergey only makes 32mm props and now i can not use them with this plane. Do it for RFM props? Well those are only good for distroying planes these days and RFM do also make 32mm spinners. Petr can build nice planes i have seen. |

Joe please measure the Avionik Fuse .... is it 32mm ? I'm making such spinners since 2 years for Avioniks and I can assure you they are 33mm so where is the standard ?
I wanna see a picture of a caliper on your planted B08 fuse and also on some bananas you have. I'm getting mad about all these bull#hit$... |

Georgi, who cares if it is 32mm or 33mm. The point is a Sergey prop will not fit on a 38 or even 36mm nose!!!
I don't wonna buy a plane only to have to extend the nose somehow. If i where in the reverse possition, cutting some off would be easy! Joe P.s. Avionik fuselage is 33mm but the props are 32mm. |

Hi Joe ,
Can you please measure for me the weight of your setups ( I mean motor+esc ). Mine are : 1512 1D (long GB) + CC 125 - 442gr. Blue 1512 1,5D (long GB) + CC 125 - 464gr. (but I will rework the case to save some grams) What was the weight of your blue motor before and after the rework ? I was having a 1510 1Y for couple of seconds but will have to ship it to USA. It's was a little bit lighter but same case length as 1512 ... why I don't know. Unilog + 400A sensor is 23 gr. Radiator I put on ESC is 9gr. Bolt distance of Speedfire is 55mm same as the Enigma. Pictures of the fuse and lipos I have , Dualsky lipos are 44x45mm. |

Georgi,
Thank you. That is pritty big!!! Guess you could even fit the Turnigy 5000mah cells in there!!! What happened to your 1510/1Y ?! Magnets cam off? Weight of the Dualsky 6S 3250mah ? For you then; Neu 1512/2.5D/6.7 (long gearbox) shaved blue motor 352 grams Neu 1511/1Y/6.7 331 grams I measure the spacer at 14 grams on precise scales. Turnigy 6S 3000mah 40C 512gr TP 6S 3300mah 30C 517gr TP 6S 3250mah 45C 521gr B1T fuselage RTF including Neu 1512/1.5D/6.7 (long gearbox) / P180 is 789gr B1L wing RTF 424gr So my total flying weight is around 1730 grams average. Way to heavy!!! I blame my fuselage (T-tail) and the motor. Need to get below 1600 grams. Joe |

Good Joe thanks ,
I've made my model ready to fly with all little details ( I mean switch for the Rx + velcro for Rx , Rx Lipo and unilog) Full weight with 1512 1D and 4S 4100 is 1640 gr. We decided to build a full competition fuse for this wing(but not right now, maybe a 2011 project). The fuse with the 2 rods and 2 servos is about 30 gr. heavier than the avionik b08 fuse. Also my Rx pack is 55gr. ( 740mAh +4 6A diodes) I can make it 30 with a 350mAh lipo. On the way to me are 2 packs : Turnigy 2650 6S 40C Turnigy 3000 6S 40C So time will show... Dualsky is 535gr but don't deliver more than 4.8kW so I'm complaining because they say 6000W. So waiting a reply from the producer. 1510 1Y throw a magnet. There was only 4 rolls of carbon ( after I've open it after the collapse ) Stupid myself that I didn't reinforced it before use it , or stupid I trusted the factory quality ? Still don't know who is stupid. |

Georgi, when you say "we" who do you mean?
I asked Petr to do a competition fuselage with thinner tailboom, 1 servo setup and ofcourse the 32mm nose. I think perhaps now also shave some off the bottom of fuselage so 6S 3300mah only just fits, not with room to spare. Can't complain about Turnigy, i also have a 6S 3000mah 30C pack that is still going strong. You do need to open them up, resolder some bits and reverse the wires to make it more compact. The best are still Thunder Power in terms of quality, use them out of the box. All are more or less the same size and weight. Regarding Neu motor. If it was over 60.000 i guess it is your fault. If below then it is their fault. Joe |

Joe i have seen two verism of the spacer. The metal one was heavier than the plastic. If your is metal you can save a title weight with the plastic one.
Hope this helps. The tail is fantastic for thermal duration turns, at least in my opinion. I was flying the pig today (enigma) and missed the rudder in thermal mode. |
