New Quad Controller - FY90Q

See here:

https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...&postcount=274

I wonder whether it is the same hardware as the FY-20A. In principle the FY20A has everything needed to control a quad onboard (3axis gyro + 3 axis accel), so I assume it is the same hardware with a slightly modified firmware. Maybe it will also be a similar price ?

Should be from what has been posted in RCGroups, a single controller that sorts out the flight control system and gives an auto levelling solution all in a single package. Basicaly a KK Controller and FY-20A all in one.

I hope they do price it close to the Fy-20a. Then add a gps addon for position hold, waypoints, etc. That would make a great low-cost quad controller. They should also send some test units out to the more experienced quad pilots here for review.

This is what Yin posted on the FY20A thread.

FY90Q is a standalone controller for quad,it is pluged in the reciever and the ESCs.Something just like Gu344+FY20A.

Later, will add some extended functions to it,such as altitude hold, position hold ,RTH,and so on.At that time,FY90Q can be an full feature controller for thi,quad,6x and 8x.

yin -

have you thought about a "rolling test" of your units? send a couple to UK/Europe, a few to the US, a few to anywhere else and after a tester has tested them and given you feedback, the tester sends them on to another person on your list of testers?

this way you would only offer a small amount of samples but get more feedback from a larger audience - not necessarily just advanced pilots but also those that are new too - to cover a wide range of piloting abilities. this way your 10 test units could in theory yield 30-50 or more reports back to you from people all over the world. i know personally i wouldn't have any issue testing a unit and then after giving you feedback putting it in the mail to another US based tester as USPS Priority in the continental US is only going to run ~$5.

i would like to think the vast majority of the modelers are honest and wouldn't mind the small amount of postage in their respective countries to assist you in making a better product, which in the end makes the modelers experience that much better.

just a thought,
bob

Can we get a price estimate on this unit? Also, will it allow for software updates? Any new info on a gps add on?

Here's a comparsion video of the FY-90Q with the KapteinKuk controller; both with and without an FY-20A stabilizer.
