Use for my old HET 2W motor???

Hi everyone/Roger.....
Years ago I put together one of the Sport Jet 70 EDFs with the HET 2W 3s motor. IT flew great, plenty of power and long flight times using a 3s 3200mAh lipo. I really enjoyed that plane and setup. Looped easily from level flight at 3/4 power and could easily get 8 minutes + flying time.

Advance a few years.......the SJ70 finally had one too many mach 3 landings on the nosegear and had to be retired. Dang that thing could never slow down for landings!

I have this great 2W motor/Wemo 70 fans equipment, but really can't seem to find a good airframe for it. The power output seemed very strong for what it was, but all the jets I have, or might get, now all run on 4s lipos. Short, but high output flights seems the norm.

Is this 2W outdated now, or are there some good airframes for it? I really liked it and would like to get some more use out of it.

Any suggestions or comments? Thanks everyone.
Ken

BTW: I am currently flying multiple 64, 70, and 90 sized EDFs

I am just finishing up my HET F18 70mm. I heard amazing reviews for it. They are on sale dirt cheap. Maybe you can pick one of those up.

Thanks for the suggestion DonQ. Funny thing is, I have a new HET F-20 I have had sitting in the box waiting on a good time to build. I keep buying cheap foamie EDFs that pop up on sales. I don't, however, have an F-18!?! I'll keep that one in mind...thanks,
Ken

You could use a Blitz 60 fan on 4s. I tested one a while back and with the 3 blade rotor I got 27A, 400W on the 3-Blade rotor. It also comes with a 5-blade rotor if you want greater Watts, Thrust.

The 2w fits quite well in it.

Luke,
Thanks for the info! I will check into it and see what I can do with it. I order from Don's so could just add it to my next order.
Thanks again for the suggestion.

Send it to me...It is no good for you any more!!!...I can put it to really good use and explore its entire power envelope.......Seriously, let us know what you decide and how it goes...As you say it is dated but heck, it's not a slouch either!!!
