Ha Ha, good one 'Stu!

There's talk the Pharmacist will be able to do just that soon and more (about bludy time!)

Front page of one of the Australian GP newspapers: Superclinic to open next door to existing medical practice - that just has started building to expand their rooms for allied health. What the??

Evo, that's why they're building them -and- they've had more positions in medical training. What was REALLY stupid though was when they stopped doing on-site/hospital nursing training back in the 1990's, made it a lot harder for nurses to get started after 3~4 years of training because they basically landed in hospital and had to be retrained all over again.

Anyhow, the whole sicknote thing is a big scam by the pharmacy companies, when you step out of that door, go down town to visit the doc for that note, you have a much better chance of spreading your germs, so that other people can get them too - after which you can be perscribed a whole lot of antibiotics that do sweet-stuff-all other than to improve the brutality of previously mediocre bacteria strains which means we're forced to have to use really nasty stuff which either blows out your kidneys or causes some other "bad" condition. We've been sold down the river folks.

Stay at home... PLEASE.... and yes, a nice NBN would let the doc check us at home without us having to spread the filth.

Its lucky the public service is somewhat autonomous, because we have no government.

Politics is just something you have to do.

Take an interest if you will but don't whinge when it doesn't go your way.

Some of us even pretend we can make a difference.

Some of us, like me, couldn't give a shite and make do with what we get dished out.

Just be thankful you can have your toy planes and a beer with your mates.
Assuming you're not a politics nerd and bore your mates into drinking with other people

So what's your breath on the topic, or are you the one of the minority who does know something "about politics or government" and choose not to participate? Please, do enlighten us oh great flightless bird

hey, at least that is an opinion! A wrong one of course but still

I really irk when people post such a generic reply such as "most people in this thread don't know etc" yet don't actually give an opinion, or even their side of the argument so you know who the hell they are talking about in the first place.

Better to have bad breath than no breath at all I say.

Well, heres my thoughts, not hard to pick the way I voted due to this. I go as far away from the greens as possible, and as their preferences were going to labour that meant I steered clear of labour as they had to tow some of the green line. If they were environmental and wern't driven by emotions (have you ever seen the national party member yelling at you on election day?) then it wouldn't be so bad. But their ideas on things just irk me, and irk me really bad. They have opinions on things that they obviously have no idea about, and their environmental ideas seem to just run along the popular (climate change) or the cute and cuddly (wales etc), meanwhile being pretty oppressive in some of these things (look at the extreme environmental groups that are aligned with them). Pushing causes but ignoring the actual problems (marine parks being the main thing I am thinking here, yes the greens support these and are pushing for more).

Now I have stated. Lets argue!!

I tell ya what !is scary - The Greens' policies. If you haven't read them - you should. Like banning the importation of animals for zoos - unless in a breading program. WHAT THE!!! So if another zoo has bread a thousand of a particular species and wants to send some here they can't. So much for educating our kids eh!!!

Some of their other policies are borderline bazaar!

EDIT - I just read another of their policies that shocked me. They want to introduce a DEATH TAX!! So now there will be three things you can't avoid.... Death, Taxes, and Death Tax!!
