My Fox is very gentle on stall at 50mm, nothing odd happens, just drops nose and continues to fly after that.. I am surprised at how slow the airframe can actually fly. Landings are almost hands off....just keeps the wings level. I took the time to balance it laterally as well.

Did you find the ailerons more sensitive as the C/G is moved back? Kerry |

is it this scheme? This is the one I suggested a whack of pages back, I use it on my Super cub. Glen |

Well, I maxed out my aileron throw at the same time I moved the CG back, so I cant really say if it was the CG affecting it or not, but they did get way more responsive with the added CF on the TE. Im only able to get big barrel type rolls out of the Fox.....is this your experience? I had a blast last nite catching thermals as the Sun went down at the end of a breezy 90 degree day. I swear I was trurning flat 8 foot circles with full rudder, some aileron, and up elevator. Lots of fun! Rob. |

Hey Rob
Big slow rolls is all I can get even with the flat C/F on the ailerons, max throws rearward C/G and rudder. I added the C/F and moved C/G at the same time. Quote "I had a blast last nite catching thermals as the Sun went down at the end of a breezy 90 degree day. I swear I was trurning flat 8 foot circles with full rudder, some aileron, and up elevator. Forgive me, as this is my first glider, and I was pretty giddy at the thermal action.....I THINK I used aileron as usual to initiate the turn, and then opposite to keep it flat. |
