That is a nice fox!

Made some setup changes, moved the battery forward by 3/4 of an inch
a little over a centimeter. Added a Dime to the right wing.
Now it is better balanced front to back and side to side.
Had it out for a 20 minute flight this morning and it now flies better.
And it now "turns on a Dime" pun intended

I'm finding I still have to give lots of down elevator when climbing.
Still need to take out the motor mount again and add some down thrust.

After 27 years of NOT flying a sailplane, my thermal hunting skills suck

OH well I had fun anyway today!

New battery location:

Balancing dime located out board of the aileron (tipside)

Did my wing just rock, or was that a .02 mph gust?

Found out what happens when you leave your fox out in the full sun

The heat under the clear plastic on the canopy got hot enough to heat up and expanded the EPO foam to the point of it separating into beads.
Now I have a black and white interior LOL

Atleast the canopy is still in one piece - not like mine I should take a picture of the Jeans Astir from my gliding club - That thing looks like someone stole the seat and put some paper in it to make sure no-one notices it..

Anyways, the air brakes work fine - Even if you have to close them quickly(Like, you have to push the button down quickly) because they won't close completely otherwise.

rough camera mount

Flew the fox today in some horrible conditions. It was almost like the wind was blowing straight down! My buddy even gave up with his 40 nitro trainer because it was just getting pummeled.

So I made a quick and dirty "canopy" for the Fox/Go Pro. Blue foam shaped and painted white, couple velcro straps and almost done. I need to make the strap system for the camera still and I'm going to countersink the main straps into the foam to give a better shot.

Hey guys, I've got the standard motor in mine (HK) and if I advance throttle
quickly the motor screams like a wild parrot and cuts out

If I accelerate slowly it's OK

Poorly set magnets?

Hey Kev:
A weak batt. pack (low C rating and or old pack) can give the same result. Also, increasing prop size or pitch can make it worse.

Just some thoughts, testing with a larger pack first might be easier than pulling the motor apart. :-)
