this ought to be a nice one too - especially with the printed skins applied.

Foxy29,

You have to make a longer exhaust on it or you will not get all the thrust you should from that size motor and fan. Nice looking plane.

BTW sweet calendar in the background of your video.

AGTalon,

Sorry for replying to Foxy29 before you.

That is totally awesome plane and design. I floats so well and is very creative. You have to paint it silver and put some lights on it.....

I have actually considered it DJ! There was a guy that did one a couple years ago. Do a search in the Scratchbuilt forum. It looked awesome. Not sure if he ever flew it though.

No worried John. I don't mind at all.

Foxy, i was thinking about something like that but i think this printed on tissue paper decoupage system is going to work good. Me and a friend are working on a full skin set for the Enterprise and if it works out i will be putting one on my Voyager.

Can it reach warp speed?
Can you beam a pack up as a replacement, and send the old one down to you?

It does not reach warp speed. Everyone knows that it is against Starfleet Regulations to enter warp speed in an inhabited star system. So i keep my speed at impulse only. Usually about 30-40 mph.

I have been working on a system to beam up fresh batteries but the amount of energy that is required to transport 1 ounce of matter far exceeds the storage capacity of a lithium polymer battery. In order to generate enough power i would need to construct a 1000 ton Tokomak fusion reactor. I don't think my 2410-09 brushless motor can fly that much weight.

Sorry! I will keep trying though.

Don't be discouraged!
I heard that HK are going to sell a 1/23340096439 scale Scotty that might help you with the beaming up and make this whole Tokomak fusion reactor unneccesary.

Anyway, a great project you have there!
