My video did not turn out at all. I think I forgot how to make a video with my camera. I have to figure it out again.

Carlos,

I hope you read this before you send you ESC back to Castle. I'd like you to try futzing with your throttle curves. Can you tell me what the values for each of your curves? I thought that your heli worked better when the throttle curve was flatter. That is, I seem to remember that you originally had something like 80 - 70 - 80 on one of your curves. We then changed it to 100 - 70 - 100 curve. I thought it worked better with the 80 - 70 - 80 curve. So is there a way you can set it to 100 - 95 - 100? I think you would have to change the pinion to keep your head speed reasonable. You might also want to try a flat 100 or flat 95 curve, ie 100 - 100 - 100 or 95 - 95 - 95.

Hope this makes sense. Something to try anyway. Better than waiting for Castle which has a 8 or 12 week waiting list right now.

If you're using the governor with the cc esc, shouldn't you be using flat throttle curves anyway....it tells you what to set them up at in the software per headspeed. Otherwise you're changing headspeed by not running a flat curve if you are using the governor

He was using governor mode, but switched to fixed endpoint mode. My suggestion was for fixed endpoint mode.

Looks like you all had a great time this weekend! Hopefully I'll be able to get out and fly some now that Summer is winding down some.

I will give it one more try Phill and yes, that was my curves.
On gov mode
Flat 30% ............2000rpm
Flat 70% .............2250
Flat 100% ........... 2350

With 80 70 80 I was around 2200 and with 100 80 100 went to 2400
I did try a flight with only fast forward flight and the graph shows some picks consistence with the tail wag so I'm thinking for some reason the esc is pooping out, so I will prob end sending the esc back

Carlos,

That's what I remember from last Sunday. What I'm suggesting is that you go to a smaller pinion. Then set your throttle curves to 100 - 95 - 100 so that you're still getting the 2400 rpm. Now the curve is flatter, the ESC has less work to do and hopefully there will be less interaction with the gyro. I don't know what pinion you're running now, but you only need to drop one or two teeth.

Hope that makes sense.
