I've been out to antelope island a bunch of times. There are some really cool places we could fly off some big drop offs.

Mr. Phil, was wondering what battery size do you run on your outrage 550?

Mike, you left 15 minutes too soon. One of Kenny's batteries on his 700 went up in flames. He had just finished his flight and was answering a question when he heard a pop followed by hissing. I was too far away, but Kenny saw three inch flames coming out the side of his heli. No real damage to the heli. Here are some pics of the battery.

What is that in the right of the battery, part if the frame?

Those pics include two batteries, but the battery that popped is split into two parts. The other stuff between the two parts is just velcro.

Jim, no damage to the heli. Both Kenny and I will be out there, Carlos. Go early, it was quite windy today and will likely be windy on Sunday. Will bring that other 6S heli out too.

So the Velocity 50 N2 build started last night. I built the head. Here are some pics from that portion of the build.

Here's where you start; the box.

Oh look! I managed to open it.

I had time to get another step done with the build of my Velocity 50 N2.

Parts for Diagram #12 in manual.

Installation of elevator A-arm frame bearing.

PEM hardware.

PEM hardware installed.

Front frame doubler and landing gear mount hardware.

Front frame doubler and landing gear mount installed.

Rear frame doubler and landing gear mount hardware.

Rear frame doubler and landing gear mount installed.

Fuel tank dampers. I did not install them. They slipped out of their locations too easily. Guess I could have glued them in, but I'm just going to wait until I install the tank.

Gyro tray hardware.

Gyro tray hardware installed. This is not where I will be installing the gyro, so I'm mounting it slanted downwards.

Next I'll install more right side frame hardware.
