Who knows if the umx Beast is hard to fly, only a few people have been able to put their hands on one and none of the people posting are in that group.

While this is true some can tell a little by just looking at the specs as to how it's going to fly.. And as I know Dazzzer1 from the heli's I feel safe in what I said.. |

If you have mastered flying 3ch and have no problems flying ailerons and are very comfortable doing aerobatic maneuvers then it shouldn't be to much of a problem if you have a radio that can you set dr/expo. If you only have very limited experience flying planes, then yes, it is going to be VERY hard for you to fly it due to its specs alone.

And as I know Dazzzer1 from the heli's I feel safe in what I said..[/QUOTE yeah but with the helis wind effected them alot and they seem harder to fly and getting them to fly just right ? also they are really small the micro helis and you can lose sight of them , but this seems like fun and only if its easy to land this plane will it stay in one piece. I like them to float or glide to a stop . |

Well, the great thing about most of these ultra micro planes is that they can be belly landed in grass. I am a little worried about the beast though, with the aileron servos being so exposed.
Landing is a crucial component of flying. At some point, the plane must come down. Sadly, I have yet to find a simulator good enough for really teaching you landings as they are usually pretty darn easy to land in, compared to the real world. If I was you, I would start getting those planes back out and getting your skills sharpened. Especially the landing aspect. If you dont mind to throw a little money at it. Get the little sukhoi and practice with it, especially the landings! |
