Hot off the success of our 2nd Annual F5J Electric Sailplane Contest, the Albuquerque Soaring Association (ASA) would like to announce the 3rd Annual F5J Electric Soaring World Challenge, October 17-19, 2003.

This year, with the help of the Central Arizona Soaring League (CASL), the contest moves to the Albuquerque, New Mexico area

Hi: I flew this event last year in Phoenix for the first time. Very enjoyable people and well run contest. Knowing the people in the A.S.A. , with the help of C.A.S.L., this event can't be beat. Well worth attending. Even if you don't fly.

October 17-19 F5J Electric Soaring World Challenge Update

As of today we have 22 pilots registered. These pilots are from many parts of the USA with one from Australia! We are excited!
Visit http://www.soarabq.org/ for more information.

Consider that October 17-19 is one weekend after the end 2003 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, October 4-12, 2003. This hot air balloon event draws tens of thousands of visitors to Albuquerque. Visit http://www.aibf.org/ for more informaion.

Approximately 800 balloons, even more pilots and chase crew volunteers, and the wonderful Albuquerque weather and scenery ensure a great event! This event is the most photographed event in the world!

So, consider visiting Albuquerque for both the Electric Soaring World Challenge and the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.
