and if you dont believe Emeter results then we must agree to disagree,
of course you are taking for granted that all the motors supplied are the same as the one you have , I have measure only 2 mine and a friends and remember they were only setup for 9.6volts by Arttech with that prop.

Pehaps then you can tell me how a 20A speedy with virtually no cooling can survive with 27AMPS ???

we are NOT talking about motor differences here

Read my posts that was my point exactly and why I suggested cutting down the props by 3/4", because just to fit a larger esc would melt the mounts.

OK here are the facts
The stock motor is to small
the speedy will only safely handle 15 amps without extra cooling
the motor mount is fragile plastic

What I did to mine to make it run RELIABLY
fit a bell 860 - 1000kv motor

things to watch out 4
weak motor mount
easily bent motor shafts
canopy latch lets go if not fitted properly
some may have had other probs like wing tips easy to break ect ect

Really,
you sound like such a sweetheart... My plane pulled 27 amps with the stock set up at WOT on a 3s 2200mah 45c discharge Lipo. I did not say that nothing should be done to correct this. I said that puling 27amps on a 20 amp ESC is going to burn your electronics up! Why are you being so difficult? These are the results I got my Australian friend. Now chill out and have a beer.

Tell me how the "venting" is going to work when there is NO outlet for the "vented" air to escape ??? considering that air expands when heated ???
Tell me how this "venting" is going to cool the ESC ??? especially as it is supposedly preheated from cooling the motor ???
Tell me how trimming 1/4" off the prop is going to reduce the amp draw "to stay with the stock motor" ??? did you do this and record the WOT amp draw ???

I can not see what this is all about as you never mentioned in the video that the it would work all right at full throttle/27amps. That was just you test figure for a second or two in the workshop.

In your video you mentioned:

The nose cone needs ventilating and to put in a 30amp speed controller.

Repeat - PUT IN A 30AMP SPEED CONTROLLER. So nowhere did you say the 20amp speed controller would run with a motor drawing 27amps.

Sorry but I can not see what this is all about. Guess you are saying the same.

I honestly don't feel like I was misleading. I at least truly hope the video isn't misleading. But there is always going to be someone that hates my videos. Oh, and there is a huge gap between the canopy and fuselage. That fuse is about as air tight as a spaghetti strainer... Now lets all have a beer and calm down.
