[QUOTE=Aerominded;18423962] It wasn't really raining that hard... was it? (Yes, it was)

It was raining that hard. Just walking from my car to the tents soaked my jeans and shoes for the whole day! Even though I had to leave early I had a great time. Thanks.

Was great to see you and the others at the event, Vspeeds! Thanks for bringing your fantastic new tug, "Vspeeds"- you did a super job building it!

Thanks Aerominded. If I only new how to drive it with a barge that would be even better! I think one of the issues I was having was the mixing adjustments. I'm thinking about changing to tank steering for more accurate control.

The 6'er may have been a better fit than the 7'er... CaptLee can provide a more exact number but I think the 7'er is around 250Lbs (probably more)... that's a lot of barge and the weather wasn't the best! Let me know the next time you can make it to the lake with "Vspeeds", we can get a barge in the water for you to practice with!

Truth! We are lucky to have such a great PSO (and he's a great guy too). And this event is also proof that he is becoming most diabolical in his course designs! This one really took some doing to navigate!

And here you really were one of the guys I had thought would show up for sure, what with your interest in tugs an' all. I had been lookin' forward to seeing you and your projects!!

Jeeze, me too! Had a new one out and it did get a bit damp. Hoping it or the lenses won't need any shop time .

Anyway...

More pictures to come including
  • more boats on the tug course,
  • VSpeed's new Southhampton style tug.
  • Moving the freighter Pacific Emanon
  • More wet, more rain! lol! It's Summer in The City!

And don't forget to mark your calanders -

Event missed

Craig, bleeb me, I wanted to be there but my old 1936 house, which is on a hill, doesn't seem to like all this rain - we bin takin on water like mad ... ...
You know it's deep when you see rats jumpin out of the chimney ( haha )...
Just jokin about the rats, we have a screen on top of the chimney so they don't get away.
I will be there for the next ( dry ) event SURE.

So happy to see tha you didn't let a little shower get in the way of some fun. Although have to admitt, easier to do that when the rain is warmer....
