Day of Grey ...

Here be some pics from Day of Grey ... even some really nice steam boat models - one of which is scratch built.
We also had Pirate trouble !
Also, I was allowed into the Temple, there are a few pics of the magnificent boats inside ...
Thanks Craig !
Tim.

Great Shots, Tim! You got a really good cross section of the event. Great work!

I will be getting mine up shortly.

(And I am glad to see other folks posting pictures as well! Very Cool. Thanks)

Tim & Craig - Thanks for the nice photos. Great for us landlocked skippers to get a feel for the day :-).

I appreciate the detailed captions, Craig. I realize not all photographers have your in depth knowledge of the Club's members & ships. I also appreciate all the work that goes into making a photo display like this, thanks again.

Tim, or Craig - Is "Navigator" (Temple shot, green hull, 4 lifeboats) a commuter vessel? I know that tugboats used to be able to carry excursion passengers, prior to CG regulations for saving life. But Navigator does not quite fit my internal picture of a tugboat.

Brooks She was a River transport in Africa. the model was a twin steam originally, converted to electric in the 60's, retired in the 90's, on the list for a full restoration and modern electronics when we get some time in schedule of volunteers.

Who owns the proboat coast guard boat? Would you be able to contact them to see if they would like to sell it.

Proboat Motor Lifeboats

Thought I'd upload a photo I took... I really hope one day the SFPD Marine 1 could join the US Coast Guard and Paramedic for a 3 boat group photo.
