What is the difference between the eZipper and the eZipper MarkII? I see that the price is different! The price is increased and you get a 8-cell Kans950. At this point shouldn't it be a free 8-cell Kan1050? From what I've seen the 950s are pretty cheap now. I've been considering getting on of these for a while. I still am but a marketing gimmick that treats the customers like they can't add will be a definite turn off.

LHS eZipper 59.99
Kans 950 25.00

Mark II 74.99

Tomegun, Pick your poison and buy the bird. I received mine yesterday after seeing a couple fly in Orange County last week.
These Zippers Rock! Very impressive assembly manual as well.

Oh what to cover or not to cover....torn cover or dirty EPP?

You are comparing a discount hobby store price to the WingWarrior list price.

There is no "marketing gimmick" 99% of stores sell under manufacture list price unless the manufacture sells only direct and does not choose to have dealers.

Why would LHS want to stock the shelves if they had to compete direct with the manufacture on price? This is why manufactures sell at list price on their web sites; it allows the LHS to compete fairly in the market.

The list price for the eZipper(8cp1300scr 480 motor) and the eZipper MarkII(8Kan950 400 motor) is the same on list price = $74.95

No gimmick, just different distribution channels.

It sucks to be punished for competing fairly

The question of "What is different between the original and the Mark II?" still stands. I am interested in one of these and would gladly pay the little extra to get it right from the factory, directly supporting the manufacturer, instead of from one of the "Big Name" stores.

I believe it's been altered to allow for 8x2/3A Paks like the HeCell 1100 or KAN950's in dual-stick configurations.

And it sounds like a deal!

"Original E-zipper"
Pre cut battery bay for 8cp1300scr, 8KR1400AE, or 8NiMh2700

E-Zipper MKII:
The MarkII is setup for the popular new 8HeCell1100 or the 8Kan950 twin stick batteries.

TOM @ Wingwarrior -
can you post a close-up photo of the old and the new battery bays? I'm looking for a fast 36" wing with a SP400 that glides like a Zagi but with the speed of a Wedgie - I think the E-zipper MKII would fit the bill nicely - since I already have HE-Cell twin sticks and KR600AE's from the Zagi! - and I can always use another Pak like the KAN950!

Also, what's shipping to Toronto, Canada Cost? I assume your free shipping does not cover Canada. If it does, let me know!

Shipping to Canada is $5.00 during the special

I will try to post pictures of the different set ups today, the main differance is the balance point based on the battery.

The eZipper is set up for the popular 8cp1300.
The MarkII is set up for the newer 8Kan950 or 8HeCell 1100

Same Zipper panels and spar system in both models.

Thanks for your support & understanding

The store I was referring too sure doesn't seem like a discount store on other items! That's cool though. No harm meant. By saying the balance points are different how would the new eZipper work with a brushless motor and 8-cell FAUP flat packs or 10 cell Kans 1050 packs like this:

I just got a pack like this today to help solve a CG issue with a Unicorn and feed the Mega a little more juice! I too would like to see a picture of the battery bay in relation to some popular cells and configurations. Regardless of $10 I'm still strongly considering this wing for the simplicity of the motor mount alone.

If I read the answer to theprice differences right, they describe the eZipper also comws with a 480, while the eZipperII comes with a 400.
You might want thes to be cleared up.
