*update*

3.5mm, is measured ID of the female connector.

They look like these here which are called bullets. Bullets, Bananas, same thing?

Yeah, I tell you these are the biggest pain-in-the-butt connectors I worked with. Someone please tell me how you seat the bullet into the housing once the wire is soldered on (and without destroying the housing) ? By the time I got them seated the half-destroyed housing become too loose and the bullet would just slip out.

I sure was refreshing my vocabulary when I was in the process of making the extension/converter I use now.

Oh hell, I should just change all of them to either EC3 or XT60.

LOL I was thinking they would be like the Amp connectors, in that you pass the wire to be soldered through the body, solder on the the metal end, then pull the unit back in to the body to be locked in place. This is not the case...?

Oh man! Ur telling me I was stupifying it the whole time? I didn't even think of that but thanks for the tip. Probably, that's how it should work. And I was pounding it in with a screwdriver and a hammer from the other side...

Yeah, u can see in that vid that he pushed it all the way through then it was a lot easier to pull it back in from that direction. I think that's how it's supposed to go. I did the same thing with the EC3, don't know how it skipped my mind. That way you can use the opposite bullet to push it back in from the other side nice and straight. Brain fart...

Anyways, back on topic. So who's doing piro flips with this thing yet?

I converted both my 4F200 and my V450D01 to these connectors, bought from my local hobby store. They seem to work great and are easier to grasp and pull apart. I find the bullet connectors can be quite stubborn to pull apart when inserted fully together.

Since my belt is showing signs of wear again I ordered front and back metal rudder gears, but I'm wondering if anyone uses silicone or some other spray to lube the belt?

Use silicone spray on any belt driven heli. Regarding the connectors I like the xt60 connectors as pretty much all the turnigy lipos you buy from hobby king come with this connector

Although I could not find any aberrations on the gears I did my best to sand them down. I replaced the belt and put on some silicone spray lube. I went through a battery and noticed no wear whatsoever. But I will certainly keep an eye on it. Thanks for the silicone info. I'm new at this as you may have guessed.

I agree, those bullets are tough to get disconnected, once pushed together. I think I may convert entirely over to XT60. I'll see how the cord length works out, or if I have to solder new leads to the ESC
