Watch out, the Tx you mention looks like one of those we tested and is unreliable...

Why dont you guys stick to the combos we tested and which are reviewed in the first pages of the topic?

90% of the Tx that are sold are crap! Just stick to the ones that work (Nr1: Lawmate Nr2: Fox800 from Inesun Nr3: Fox 700 from Bob)

If you have a very small plane: Lawmate 500mw or readymaderc 100mw

If you buy crap it's lost money because it will be useless.

Can someone point me to the instructions for trimming a L-com 1.2 patch to be better tuned to 1280? I can't seem to find it.

Instructions are, either trim 1/4" - 5/16" off either top or bottom, or
1/8" off both sides of the active element of the patch.
I could never find anything more specific than that, but the latter worked
just fine for me.

The Lcom RE1208 is tuned for 1080-1200MHz, this is the one that needs to be retuned, most of the others are OK on 1280MHz.

Or better yet build your own in the 1st place. It is fun, cheap, and they work pretty darn well. While you're at it build a biquad for 11dbi worth of range.

I built an entirely new plate (same stock ground plane) for my l-com 1.2 patch. Works great with proper dimensions for 1280mhz.

You can't simply trim 1/4" off the top or bottom as the top will no longer mount if trimmed, and the bottom will ruin the + hole connection height (function of h) on the bottom edge. You're best to build a new plane if you want maxium gain on this l-com patch. Yes trimming will help however.

I cant seem to get my sunsky800mw to play audio D:< Im in a video production class at school and they are thinking of trying out live news broadcast since all our classrooms have a tv, so i was thinking of setting it up for them to do wireless video instead of streaming over lan.
