Bad colors due corrupted color subcarrier, very large frequency drift over temperature and supply voltage. From 1110 to 1150MHz it even locks on 2 different reciever channels or not locks at all! Needlees to say that it's power 150-200mW only.
I have 3 other 1.2g transmitters and all of them have almoust no drift and tuned within 30-50kHz.
What are your other 1.2g vTx's? Make/model? Price? Frequencies?

RC = FUN
So for 1280 mhZ with the fox700 it needs to be on channel 9. Correct?

BUT, it says 6-7-8 work the best for the channels. So should I just use one of those?

AND, I have a IBCrazy antenna tuned for 1280 mhz, would this still perform good on 1240 (Ch. 8). Thanks! -Tyler

Channel 9 is the only legal frequency in the USA - 1280mhz.

Yes but make use of Sanders filter for removing rf spikes.

Or make use of one of these.

On the fox-800 transmitter, would drilling small vent holes help cooling?

Like on the lawmate 1000mw transmitter.

Added ram heatsinks to my sunsky 800mw transmitter, seems to keep it alot cooler.

As quoted earlier, 1240 is not legal in the USA. Many people think that it is because the band goes from 1240 to 1300 (IIRC).

The problem is that when you are transmitting on 1240, you are really transmitting in a range that goes from 1230 to 1250 (almost 20mhz wide).

1279 (1280 on most systems) is legal
1253 (1255 is available on at least one 15 channel rig) is legal

thats too bad as I found yesterday almost every channel on my Bob unit works great except 1280. 1240 included, it was near perfect. 1280 was unusable.
