FYI just did a Test yesterday with a dragonlink V2 and a crappy Digital Rx, Indeed the Dragonlink caused problems but as soon as we got it 2 m away from the Rx we went to 2.5km on 1240Mhz with homemade Cloverleafs and Bob 700mw

So I am getting some weird glitching with my 900MHz system. It seems to do the "I feel like sliding off the screen vertically" thing. I figure 1.2GHz and 900MHz probably experience the same issues so...

My only possible theories for this are:
1 - It is getting RF from something like the motor or servos. (It is mounted behind the motor on that little pad on the Skywalker.

2 - It is getting RF from my newly installed Rangelink. However, the RL is in low power mode and the antenna is mounted right by the aileron servo on the wing, so at least 2 or 3 feet away.

3 - I was doing a lot of testing on the ground for setting up the RL, so the video system might not of liked the 11.4v on the video battery after it got lower (I fly two batteries). I fly through a NOVA OSD, I imagine I don't need an LC filter on the separate battery if it also powers the OSD?

4 - I wasn't far enough away from the ground station.

In case it matters, this is a 910MHz 800mw system from BEV, flying an inverted vee and an 8dbi patch (patch also from BEV).

thx

Hey,
just wanted to say thanks! especially to ian!
i had a vrx from Bevrc 1.3ghz and could not stand any closer than 10m with my rmilec uhf system, video just shuts down. after reading for a while i got a 4ch Racewood vrx from dronesvison. All problems solved, just went home from my first real fpv flight(even though bad weather over here in germany atm). I could even touch the racewood reciever with my rmilec uhf antenna without interferrence! Great forum, thanks guys!

With crappy digital rx long range is no problem, I did 16 km away with clear video, using yagi for video rx

And stock fox 800 for tx

For like 50$ it's well worth buying a better video rx and stop experimenting with crappy ones

One of the photos shows white antenna but the other shows a black antenna. Looking at the magnified image of the TX shows a FOX800A label (see below). But who really knows for sure what you will get.

Edit: Coupon code 10% Off = RS10OFFSEP

no one else actually gets the fox 800 in the box except for me from local guys who sold me these years ago

white antenna is nothing to worry about

what you need to worry about is if stock antenna is good or not

some are just as crappy as the video rxs they sell

some work very well

Hi guys, just looking for some oppinions on this.

http://www.bevrc.com/bev-13g-800mw-t...or-fpv_p8.html

I have the 900MHz version, and am getting massive interference. I believe they are identical, but the 900MHz one is firmware locked to channels 0,1,2,3, that's 910-1040MHz. If anyone has a way around that, it would be even more appreciated, and save me buying the 1.3GHz one.

Looking at the first post, it looks to be the Sunsky 1.2Ghz 800mw aka Fox-800 without the heatsink.

which ever one you get , heat glue or whatever the video tx antanna and the video tx houseing. it will or could make a big difference in your life of the video rx

you can use papertape first then hot glue to make great bond.

idea is to ensure if brush or hard landing the video tx does not get broken

try highest possibale channels to gecloser to 1.2
