Thread OP

Need some scale modeling resource help

I work at a hobby shop and I always try to help, I got a request that I think ezone can help with.

Here is the question from the customer.

I called by your store a few days ago
And enquired if you knew of a source where you could get large scale museum
quality models of aircraft, particularly WW2 aircraft.
You said you weren't immediately aware of a source, but had a network that
you would enquire of to see if anyone had a source.
So here's the requested email, I'm very interested in this if you can turn
up a source.

I am sending the customer an e-mail to watch this thread...

Thanks

We probably need more info to help, does he want non flying models. Open structure display etc??

If he wants museum scale electric flyers then all he needs to do is contact some of the builders here as they are in that category from what I have seen.

Best bet would be to check out museums and see where they obtain models, I would think they have a contact for which they use for their models.

Hi Oranator,

Here is a link that can maybe help. They are more specialized in WWI airplanes and not electric but the quality seems to be there and they can do what you want. See the links on the left part of the page.

Thanks to both Benny and Frederic.
My desire is for static very high quality closed models, preferably WW2 or later.
The 3seabees web looks very interesting. Both quality and price are good, and I intend to follow up with them. They do seem to offer only WW1 at this stage.
Thanks again
