Another X army guy here that checks in once and a while. Sometimes I miss the camaraderie of the guys. Civilian life just ain't the same. Stay safe.

And You're Not
I read all the posts you make. I rarely post in them, but that's just because I generally don't have much to add. I always look forward to reading your posts.

I make a point of reading your posts. Heck, I'm just up the road from you - well, when you are not in Afghanistan or Iraq anyway. I hope to go flying with you when you return.

Stay safe, Laine, and thank you for your service.

Deal Honestly or Don't Deal

Hello Laine

Yep, I read your blog frequently and enjoy all the comments. Congratulations to Kristi on quitting that nasty habit. Keep your head down over there (can't believe I just said that to a chopper pilot). Just stay safe.

This is really the only blog I read. I love to hear a little of what life's like in the middle east right now from your point of view. You always have something interesting on here and I pray that you are safe as you serve our country.

FWIW I read your blog Laine, and find it amusing as I am here at KAF as well. You should come over and take a look at our UAV's on the Golf ramp. I have another month to go, then back to Creech. We should meet for lunch at the boardwalk sometime.

ChrisS, absolutely man. Its hard to find time to do much, but, I will give you a shout hopefully later this week if I have some time. Im sure I can make it to the boardwalk at least one day.

Thanks everyone!

Hi Laine, I check your blog several times a week. It's interesting to read as it gives a picture of daily happenings in the lives of our servicemen over there. I'm glad you have several hobbies that help to keep you occupied and never a dull moment. Best of luck for you and your wife and congradulations on quitting the smokes............. Dick S.

Pretty obvious that I read your blog regularly, since I have a reply in most of them over the past couple of years...

Seems like we're often deployed at the same time...probably only a matter of time until we end up at the same base. Keep up the posting--even those of us deployed to the same country are curious how "the other half" is living!

Good job as well on kicking the smoking habit--I have a strong opinion on smoking (even more so after spending the past 5 months at a NATO base) but none of the smokers want to hear it!
