Hi All, seeing as the other thread i started is now 50 pages long with lots of "Off Topics" in it, I thought now the plane is Here, I would start an owners thread and will lock the old one in a week or two, once everyone has migrated here

i have copied any relevant info from the first thread and posted it here, so lets keep this thread on track and about the new F4F Wildcat

The wing fit on the Wildcat is very nice and the wing slides into a pocket in the fuselage. I accidentially left my plane in my truck for about 30 min during a very hot day (yes I know Parkzone recommends against this ) and found this evening that the wing was a little tricky to remove as the paint had softened in the heat. I would recommend rubbing a little baby powder or talcum powder on the wing root before assembly to prevent the wing from potentially sticking. Especially in the hot summer months.

The nice thing about this plane is that is is fairly small and easy to transport even in one piece, so some may never disassemble the plane.

But just wanted to give a heads up to those that plan on removing thier wing for transport or storage.

Also try to keep the plane from sitting in direct sunlight for long periods, or storing them in a hot vehicle as I did.

I hope you guys enjoy the F4F as it is a great flying airplane that really looks the part in the air.

And as Stav mentioned they did ship today and some will have them as early as tomorrow.

well good thing tomorrow is paycheck friday!!!!!!!!!

Chuck, anyone from OMP contact you with regards to the F4F airframe I mentioned?

no mate not yet

My finger is ready to hit the "buy" button for the replacement airframe and add my own goodies to it

um how about mods i borrowed this from someone on the other thread so no credit to me except on the only 1 servo needed!!!! the retracts are all him!!!
the spring dont need to be heavy but just enough to keep the joint closed

would put the servo link further down on the strut for more leaverage.

OK I see what going on now, still needs to be drawn up in scale to get a better idea if the geometry will work though.

I agree I have some spare ofna rc buggy A arms I'm goin to check out and mod to fit I'll stay posted
