Parkzone's F4F Wildcat Owners Thread
Hi All, seeing as the other thread i started is now 50 pages long with lots of "Off Topics" in it, I thought now the plane is Here, I would start an owners thread and will lock the old one in a week or two, once everyone has migrated here
i have copied any relevant info from the first thread and posted it here, so lets keep this thread on track and about the new F4F Wildcat cheers chuck well it's Thrusday here in Australia and the new Warbird is up on our local hobby stores web page it's a F4F Wildcat and it looks cool still got an 18amp ESc though cheers chuck http://www.modelflight.com.au/produc...NF-6214-6.html Horizon Site: http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...ProdID=PKZ1980 specs: Specs list for PKZ1980 Wingspan 38.4 in (975 mm) Overall Length 28.7 in (730 mm) Flying Weight 25.4 oz (720 g) Motor Size 480 sized 960 Kv brushless outrunner Radio SPM 2.4Ghz DSM 2 AR500 5 channel full-range sport receiver (DSM 2 transmitter required) Servos PKZ SV 80 sport servos (4) Trim Scheme Colors light gray, navy blue, white and red CG (center of gravity) 1 7/8 in (47 mm) back from LE of wing at root +/- 1/8 in (3 mm) Prop Size 9 x 6 Speed Control PKZ 18A BL ESC Recommended Battery 3S 11.1V 1300mAh LiPo (included) Aileron proportional Elevator proportional Rudder proportional Throttle proportional Control Throw (Ailerons) 8 mm (low rate), 11 mm (high rate) Control Throw (Elevator) 9 mm (low rate), 13 mm (high rate) Control Throw (Rudder) 11 mm (low rate), 14 mm (high rate) Charger 12V DC powered 1A balancing LiPo charger Overview From Pearl Harbor through 1942 the F4F Wildcat was the only U.S. fighter in the Pacific theater capable of thwarting the advances of Japan’s naval air forces. And though it was slower and less maneuverable than the vaunted Zero, its heavier armor, self-sealing fuel tanks and rugged airframe could often help a skilled pilot overcome this performance gap and live to fight another day. ParkZone brings the legendary Wildcat to life with this great flying Bind-N-Fly park flyer modeled after a plane flown by Lieutenant Commander Edward “Butch” O’Hare – the U.S. Navy’s first flying ace. Scale touches include a realistic paint scheme, simulated engine cylinders and cowl flaps, molded wheels tucked into the fuselage and more. Its flight performance is equally impressive thanks to the full 4-channel control and ample power provided by its 480 brushless motor and the included 3S 1300mAh Li-Po battery. Best of all, you can have it flying in the time it takes you to charge the included battery pack and bind its Spektrum AR500 receiver to your full-range DSM2 aircraft system (sold separately). Features 3S 11.1V 1300mAh Li-Po battery and balancing charger included Spektrum™ AR500 DSM2™ 5-channel sport receiver installed Powerful 480-size 960Kv brushless outrunner motor installed Dual aileron servos for precise control Durable and lightweight Z-Foam™ construction Two-piece plug-in wing Battery compartment accommodates most 1800mAh–2100mAh Li-Po packs (sold separately) Only requires a full range DSM2 aircraft transmitter (sold separately) nice looking plane thats for sure link to movie and it's good too http://www.parkzone.com/ProdInfo/Files/PKZ1975_hi.wmv

OK I see what going on now, still needs to be drawn up in scale to get a better idea if the geometry will work though.
