Wow. Hopefully Ian can pop in- he is a master with Vegas.

I THINK thats some sort of interlacing problem (or something wrong with your properties). What happens when you publish as something different than .mp4?

Same thing, tried mpeg2 as well same lines appear in rendering, but they never use to so i think ive done something with properties somewhere along the line

Try something like...
File-->properties--> field order = None

Probably depends upon vegas version.

Is source video MiniDV? Just to be sure!

Also try different option in the de-interlace method.

There are better ways, but these should get you 90% there.

Photobucket is unresponsive so I can't see your settings. Just upload the image to rcgroups.

Anyway, it looks like interlacing so Vegas must be interlacing the vid itself, and that should be in the project properties. So yes, you want field order set to None.

Don't take this the wrong way, but that's not possible. Double check that you uploaded
the correct file. VLC only deinterlaces when you tell it to, not by default,
so if you don't see interlacing artifacts in VLC then it's not an interlaced video.

And BTW, why don't you choose a test clip that actually has more motion?
I only see about 1 second of interlacing artifacts, and the rest of the video
really demonstrates nothing.
