I have seen a lot of beautiful Enterprise-A attempts that ended in failure.

I don't think many people have put the horizontal surfaces that i am. And I know that no one has done prop in slot.

I feel pretty confident that i can make it work. Not 100%... yet

More progress on the -A.

Airframe complete. Need to put all the hardware in and add the decal kit that Raster is working on.

Might get it finished tomorrow. Not sure yet.

Bare airframe weight came out to 7.5 ounces.

I have to say i am LOVING the white foam.

Weather looks great but pretty breezy right now. I am going to try for a maiden flight this evening. It is looking sweet though!

She flies! It was a little scary on the first couple flights.

I had to do some tweaking on the CG before it would fly properly. I think the Elevator is still a little small. It is definitely never going to be an aerobat. There is just too much weight under the wing. I tried... not very hard to roll it when i got up high but it wouldn't. I am still worried about pulling of a dive!!

Anyhow, here is the video

Dennis,
Will you be using the mixing power of your DX7 to mix ailerons and elevator? Perhaps that will give it the extra "umph" you were looking for.
The skins are, well, in the language of a younger generation "wicked sick"!
My wife will have to forgive me, she frowns on that phrase.

I haven't done any mixing. It seems to be working ok without it really.

I would love to see some more proofs. You only sent me 3!!!

I have a few other designs i was working on this weekend. I have to decide which to build first. I think it might just have to be the Tron Lightship. Seems like the simplest one.

Top and bottom saucer are 95% done. Vertical Fuse is 90% done. Left and right nacelles are done. Still left to do: top and bottom of horizontal fuse and left and right nacelle pylons. Did you want me to share here or wait till they are all done?

Did you happen to have at least rough plans for the "extra bits" that you added later?

I think the tron light ship needs just some glow in the dark paint! Do they make that stuff in a foam friendly form?
