2. German F5D Event
The 2. F5D event in Jülich Germany is history. It was hot, hot, hot! The good thing was, there was no need for a heatbox, because we had to fly in the heatbox.
Here the final results and yes and we had a swimming pool! ![]() www.christian-hanke.blogspot.com |

Morning Christian
Obviously the Recession has finally hit Switzerland as that is a very small swimming pool ![]() Stunning flying from the top 3. Impressive from the top 6 and I see the CZ boys are very quick too on what I assume is their first outing. I remember the first time I saw a team of CZ flyers in F3J who all did quite well in their first event then the next time we saw them they were unbeatable. I wonder if the same will happen in F5D? Wish I was there complete with my spy camera..... ![]() Rob AR |

Marcel,
Was it just the aileron wing or flap & aileron wing you was using? |

Anyone tried outrunners in F5D yet? The outrunner at the speed event in Middle Wallop was impressive.

Yes,
two years ago, an Bathlet flew with an selfmade outrunner (by H. Lambertus and A.Geiger) 5s, 7* 10 Apc set up. It was fast, but no faster than the other setups, biggest problem was landing with that propeller. Also it is not easy to make a clean motor mounting in these small fuselages. and a big disadvantage, if you run out of motortime...and have to sail the last meters. the prop will slow down your plane very quick. If you still are thinking about that, a folder prop would be the way to go.... we also tested a few years ago this one : http://www.rc-network.de/forum/showt...ght=380+sachen a German F3S pilot did it like that : http://www.rc-network.de/forum/showt...Bathlet&page=5 |
