Help!

Parkzone Sukhoi XP has chicken pox!

I blew the sukhoi xp with a hairdrier to make the foam expand to cover the small dents. Stupid mistake!Instead, the entire side of the cowl popped out with a bunch small bumps on it. How do you get rid of the bumps?

I think you heated the foam to the point where it out-gassed a little beneath the paint.

As far as removing them... umm..sand/repaint? I would just live with it and make up for ugly looks with good flying. Just tell people that they're "turbulators."

Can you post a picture? Someone might have a good solution and a picture would help a lot.

I will attempt to describe the incident. The left side of the cowl has thousands of puffed up bumps. Originally the foam was smooth, but if you look right at it you should see tiny flatten balls of foam. Those tiny stamped foam suddenly popped up when I heated it up.

Try rubbing over them using the back side of a spoon to smooth them down. Saves having to repaint.

Thanks Pete the spoon works! But the ugly little foam dots are still visible from far away.

Tell people that it is a custom paint job for the International Aerobatics Championship.
