X-43A form HobbyCity

hey guys just got a x-43A 64mm edf from hobbking, the construction was fairly simple and only took about 2 hours to build. The foam seams to be good quality but the black paint comes of easily with tape . so far the radio gear seems to be good and have had no problems while setting up and testing the servos range of movement.

that's a neat looking jet (it caught my eye too while browsing hk). i did not know anything about this aircraft so i did some research on it. interesting to have it as a model. please let us know how it flys!

good luck........rob

hey rob just finished the test flight. The takeoff was reasonably short and used just a bit less than a cricket pitch. once she was up she was climbing pretty steadily at about 45'. she rolls well and really gets moving if you go flat out. the landing was easy on the grass and pretty smooth i didn't try a loop because their was a bit of wind a wasn't sure if she could pull it off but will hopefully try next time.

will try get some video

Not to troll but I was wondering how to power a surfboard or paper plane type with an edf.
