15L & Phoenix 10 programming question

Hey guys,

Heres my setup:

9.1 Cutoff voltage = 4v

9.2 Current limiting = disabled

9.3 Brake type = disabled

9.4 Throttle type = Govoner mode (low rpm)

9.5 Electronic timing advance =5-10 deg

9.6 Cutoff type = Soft cutoff

When I bring the rpms up it tends to "hunt" up and down and doesn't really give any power. Before I setup the esc I spooled the heli up and it was very powerful, what I expect from a 15L.

You may have the old version firmware. Bump your throttle ATV to 140% and try bumping up your throttle curve until desired head speed. I have one of the earlier versions and even at 140 the power is not there. You may send it to CC for software upgrade.

I tried upping the ATV to 140 and still seems about the same. Only things I can think of is to take it out of govoner mode and try messing with the timing....otherwise I guess it'll have to go back to cc

Why do you have your governor mode in low rpm?

They say it holds RPM better...maybe I should go into high?

The low RPM governor mode is for when you're running mostly at low throttle. It has more "steps" at low throttle so you have better control over the motor speed.

For a helicopter, you should be running the motor mostly at a high RPM, so the high RPM governor mode should be more appropriate.
