Yeah, we're STIG, DCID, ICD, JDCSISSS kinda guys. It's a boring job for the most part with a fair amount of documentation to be done but the travel and folks we work with on site make it fun. We're the guys everybody likes to hate and the ones that hold up progress for that stupid security thing.

I guess you could call me a "househusband" for the past three years.

Before this, I was an HVAC technician at a private college . The thing was, I was the only HVAC tech, and consequently, was severely overloaded with work and responsibilities. I tried my best, but after many years of daily stress and 2:00 in-the-morning callouts, my body said "screw you", and I got to experience what a nasty heart attack is like.
After recovery, against the recommendations of doctors and family, I tried to go back, but came to the realization very quickly that I could no longer handle the job, so after 5 weeks back, and having been given no quarter by management, I quit.

That was one of the toughest decisions I've ever had to make, because all my life, I've been the guy who gets it done. Seemed like everyone else in the family was happy about it, though.

Now, my days are filled with taking care of my wife and our home, as well as doing the occasional on-the-side construction project for friends and family. Things seem to be working out ok this way, and my wife is really quite happy with the arrangement, as she has a good paying job that she likes, and which supports us comfortably, and she can come home and kick her feet up if she wants, and wait for dinner to be served.

Me, I'm still getting used to the idea that the man doesn't have to be the breadwinner, but it's growing on me.
I am jealous.

I've led three lives. Number 2 is only one that can be represented by a picture.
