Hi,
IITOP is back !
In a first time we would like to thank all the pilots present to the previous IITOP edition.
We are pleased to renew the contest in 2011.
Further to the poll launched end of August, we decided to modify a few the contest organization to stick a maximum to your wishes.
Roughly we decided and we plan to do the following points.

We are working to find more non French judges, to have a better equity in judgment. It's not so easy.

The hall will be the same than the first edition, but we will try to remove or make a better signalization of the obstacles. Of course we won't be able to remove basket supports, but we will try to fix wires on the arm and add visible stickers on obstacles.

Just to clarify one point, this hall is not our training hall. We are not used with it, we don't have it before IITOP for training. This hall is reserved for sport contests. If you remember the only pilot who touched the wire was a guy of our club.

We are working on the possibility to have diner all together with a more international meal. We would like to make this moment an exchange and friendly moment.

Some pilots found the contest a little bit boring. For this new edition, we will organize games. It will be races, they will look like a mix between pylons, limbos and precision landing. Planes will be provided by a sponsor, no need to prepare a plane.

During and after diner, it will be the time for free flight. If some pilots want to prepare synchronous flights, special freestyle flights, improvised music flights, Guiness record of torque roll in the same time... Any idea is welcome until it is achievable. We are sure you can offer crazy flights during this " delirium " time.

In 2011 we will have more sponsors and we will be able to offer a prize to each participant at the end of the contest.
Some sponsors will install shops, if you need or brake something you will find it. It will be possible to try planes during contest timeout. To be discuss with sellers.

Yesterday we created an open facebook group to this address
http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/...952546206&ap=1
Feel free to post your comments, ideas, pictures, videos, ...

You will find many informations on the website ( iitop.free.fr) and it will be upgraded frequently.

Registration fee is 35 and 5 more for freestyle. 10 are requested to complete the registration. An secure on line payment system is on the website.

Priority will be given to the contest, it will stay a F3P FAI contest, and not an indoor flight circus, but we will be very glad to offer you a pleasant and friendly week-end.

It's why if we want to achieve it, we have to limit the participant number. The final number will be around 50 pilots.

We are the producers you are the actors! So if you want to be on board register quickly, already 12 pilots registered.

Hope to see you in February!

Well, for the top pilots the B-class (national) and especially the C-class (promotion) may be a bit boring, but then this time can be used to have lunch.

Hi Jurgen,
That's nice to read you.
You're all right, but some B and C pilots also said it was a little bit long. They fly less than A.
We just want to try to give a moment to the pilots for blowing, like it was in Carvin. I trust in Loc to find the best combination.
Regards!

Hi everybody,
Some news at less than three months from the contest.
We've reached the limit number of pilots in International and National! Still one place in F3PC.
We changed some "rules" on the maximum pilots number. Front to the success in F3PA, we changed the limit from 25 to 30, but we reduced this limit from 10 to 5 in F3PC.
Registrations are not closed, now this is a waiting list, pilots can't pay. 2 weeks before the contest we will ask to the registered pilots to confirm. If they don't we will use the waiting list.
At this time we have:
7 nations
10 pilots from Nederlands
7 pilots from Germany
4 pilots from Switzerland
1 pilot from Lithuania
1 pilot from Bielorussia
1 pilot from Austria
The others are French.

Regarding the contest itself, the flying and training schedule is not still establish.
Some points are now sure.
We will have a hot diner all together in the hall and the airfield will be free for fun during and after the diner.
We will probably change some rules in the games, round will be shorter to (2min) and more rounds (10) to be able to open the games to all the participants.
If pilots are interested, we will try to fix a record of number for torque roll in
the same time. Take off will be make at the hand and the plane will have to stay in front of the pilot to ensure a maximum security. Please let us know if you are interested.
If you have ideas or remarks feel free to contact us.
Warm regards.

Hi all,
We are back!
Less than one month before the contest... It will come fast now.
What's new. We have now the final pilots list. A wonderful casting!
It can be see here.
We will have a nice show.
Here is the official schedule.

Like you can see Loc made a nice job. Each pilot will fly a minimum of four times. It has been decided to organize finals for F3P-B and C.
During the afternoons breaks are plan to let the pressure decrease and to offer to spectators nice shows.
Like said, the evening after the F3P-A third round, competition will be stop and we will have the diner all together, during the diner and after the hall will be free for a fun time.
We tried our best to mix contest and good time.

Like previous year the hall can be download here for Aerofly. Some upgrades have been done.

Also available here a Game version of the hall with the pylons.
The goal is to make 8 around the three pylons. Too easy!

We hope we will offer to pilots, helpers and spectator a very good time!
Now place to the competition!
Sincerely yours and see you soon!

Closing hall at 23:00 and staring again at 08:15 on Sunday?

I need at least 8 hours for my "beauty-sleep".

Only joking of course. The times in the schedule look fairly generous.

Hurry!
Hi Loc,

do you really think there are pilots who are willing to make last minute arrangements for travel, accommodation etc.?

I would not worry about a few slots being open. It's the quality, not the quantity that's important.

P.S.: Just about getting ready to pick up the rental car for the trip to Paris (via Schifferstadt).
