That pilot needs to use his legs to keep my battery in place this time! Wrap 'em up and hold on tight.
I got him all in last night and it is a Perfect Fit! He has been too small for all of my other planes so he is so happy to have a plane of his own. I'll post pics this weekend for sure. Russ |

DJ, not sure if it was the lipo/esc/trims/all of the above.... whatever it was, it seems to have fixed itself. I am hopeful that the weatherman is as wrong about tomorrow as they were today, they are forcasting 16mph winds. I will probably go for a flight. only have this chance in the next 10 or so days as I am heading to PA for vacation with the family. All i did on the reprogram of the escs was to turn on the trx w/ throttle on full hold on to the plane, and plug in lipo. Doesnt Arm, hear the beeping codes, and then return throttle to min esc arms and off you go. Many of you are probably saying that is silly, but it seemed to help the situation a bit, along with the 35c lipos she flew great. anyway best of luck to all and happy holidays. Someone suggested that sequence in another post to match escs, and I tried it. I should have done one thing at a time, but as we say in racing we had to take a big swing at the setup to get her flying right. Just got off the phone with my flying buddy were going to meet at 11, winds look to be about at they were last week, but only crosswind this time.

Dang!! no ejection or parachute setup either
Kw hope ya got to fly and im glad that its worked out for ya now...Yeah anytime your programming esc's you should do each one individually, but that is kinda hard to do with the way there both hard wired to the battery lead. Im not far from PA myself to bad we cudnt of planned some flyn time together, maybe try to plan that for next yr man...have a good turkey day urself guy....DJ |

Bad News AGAIN
I remaidened yesterday at daybreak. Perfect conditions, just barely got the A-10 ready in time. It took off great and made one circuit around the field. Built in a battery strap down on top of velcro on bottom for battery. Well, on the second circuit it was flying straight and level and all was well when it just started gently nosing down all the way to the ground...elevator connector came off clevis!!! Inspecting the carnage THE BATTERY WAS IN PLACE but fuselage is a loss...wing and tail are reusable and motors are still fine...what a pair of motors!
It was my error for not locking the nuts. I put two nuts to hold on connector but I didn't locktite it or epoxy it due to being in a hurry. I'm just heart sick about it. But...I will get another air frame 'cos it was flying well and I just love it. I've gone a year without crashing anything and now two in a row...it's just part of the hobby. Next time...much slower on the build and gonna use different clevis connectors. Russ |

Oooo russ that sucks. I didn't get the oppurtunity to fly the A10 as it was windier than crap. I did take my parkzone wildcat and corsair and flew them, they have rudders... I had a near pefect into crosswind landing with the corsair but less successful the secnd attempt. Anyway hope you all have a great turkey day. DJ yeah, well i am bringing the wildcat with me but i doubt i can get anywhere close as i will be in Harrisburg. Anyway talk to you all later!

Oh well it looks like bad flying weather down here in Houston for the next several days so it looks like good eatin' and hangar maintenance is on the agenda for me. Happy Thanksgiving to all you good people out there! Russ P.S. I forgot your pics DJ of my A-10 Pilot. |
