ds have a 6-foot wing span, stand over 2 feet tall when they're standing on the ground, picking at some roadkill. They act pretty fearless about cars, and you have to be cautious when approaching one over a kill on the highway, because they might not move until you actually hit one. And that's a big animal to be hitting at 60 m.p.h. (Yes, this is the voice of experience.)
