I flew one in Spain for over a year. Taught my wife to fly on it.
If I remember correctly, it had a Baby Bee on an eternal tank, used a Babcock Mark II compound Esc. For the radio it was a Orbit Single Channel system. Never gave me a lick of trouble.

Ah... those were the days. :0)

Cheers, Stan

Thanks, Dplumpe, Swankee, Rchopper56, I missed the fact that we alreadly had Tadpole posted on this thread. It's good that there is people on the ball out there when this kind of thing happens.

I ran across this plan last night and I thought I should post it. I think it would make a great R/C conversion for small fields. It's from the April 1952 Flying Models.

Anyone have Earl Stahl's 42" Vampire? Looks like a good candidate for 1/2A Texaco.

Dunno how many of these are vintage or OT, but I'll chuck in my wish list...
Tipsey nipper, Seabee(good scale plan, not the short-nose), Cobra/Sorceress/Sundancer racing Bipes, Sorrel Hiperbipe, Starr Bumblebee I, Transavia PL-12 Airtruk.

Hi to everyone. This is my first addition to this wonderfull thread. I hope it works out ok. This plan I have had in my collection for years. I think it came from an old model engineer exhibition guide book, it may be quite rare. (blast its upside down. Oh Well)

Thanks for the Hiperbipe, George. That Seabee is the RCM plan - the shortnose. I'm looking for one with a scale nose. There were a couple of big rc Hiperbipe plans - can't remember the mags they were in...too much time on the couch, I guess...LOL
