Here's a post with some TT stuff that may help as well.

Hello Collegues
Another day, another plan to post. And yep another polish plane. Today it will be model from 1950s designed by mentioned here Wieslaw Schier called TRAMP. Originally it was not a remotely controlled plan but I think it can be worth giving a try.

Published in Wydawnictwo ISKRY, Warszawa 1965r and in Model Aircraft in 1957
Designed by Wieslaw Schier

As you can see model is quite special, free flight/link controlled model that can be built in any one of many configurations. 35.5" span biplane, high wing, low wing, sea plane, ski plane, trainer, advanced stunter.

Spirit of St. Louis / Curtiss Robin / Wright Whirlwind Planviews?

I'm currently seeking some Wylam or Paul Matt caliber scale planview drawings of two aircraft - the Ryan NYP (Spirit of St. Louis) and the Curtiss Robin.

I'm also seeking scale drawings of two engines - the Wright J-5 Whirlwind (R-790) and the Wright J-6 Whirlwind Five (R-540).

I don't know if Wylam or Paul Matt ever rendered any of these particular subjects, but due to their historical significance it seems like someone surely must have done some high quality scale planviews of them at one time or another.

Can anyone help with any of these drawings? Or point me to a source for any of them? Thanks in advance for any help.

you an alter the file attributes, like read only, by right clicking on the file, selecting properties, and unclicking the read only check box.
you can do it for individual files or complete folders

Ryan Brougham

Paul Matt did drawings of the Ryan Brougham, This plane was the basis for the NYP Spirit of Saint Louis.

I think I have some scale drawings of that plane...somewhere. I'll try to find them.

Plans remove due to possible copyright infringement.

Ryan B5, the above, is a
Paul Matt drawing.

All are

1991, copyright Historica Aviation Album, publishers: Alan Abel, Drina Welch Abel.

You might want to check with them for use?

Hello again
Another day, another model. Today I have for you Wislaw Schier model called Wicherek. This is a very special model in Poland as it was most propably most masively build by mass of modelers durring more than 60 years as their first model. Presented here versions are RC and link. My collegues tried to make a modern model from it and well... it is not as easy. Original model flying with rudder and engine, adding elevator is not a big deal but adding ailerons is making a great mess acting oposite to intention. One of my collegues studing airplane enginnering made some checks and what he found was that drag of aileron is higher than created lift what making this strange effect. Anyway my collegues made also changed version of it with different profile and working ailerons.

Versions here "25" for 2,5cm engine
Model length 1150 mm
Wing span 1760 mm

"U-25" for link control

"10" sailing plane
Model length 720 mm
Wing span 1100 mm

Published 1956/1957
Designer Wieslaw Schier

Picture from Archiwum Piotra Pindrala.

One more thing; every year lovers of this design meets on Wicherek event in Wilcze Laski next to Szczecinek in Poland, things possible to meet only there are biggest ever version of this model (4,4m wing span) or group flying to set record (14 models in the air)

You seem to have a love of Polish aircraft. Would you happen to have any info on these golden age 20's aircraft?
