> a bigger Slicker, built either by designer Bill Dean or Eddie Keil,

Rumoured but never seen or illustrated - 84" with a Super Cyclone. There is a plan around, probably by Ben Buckle but more likely an enlargement of a smaller version rather than authentic. There was also a sleeker 44" version with single retract leg, for Mills 1.3 Mk2 Once illustrated in MA but never published

You could probably build that 44in version if you really wanted to by following that MA article. There is quite a lot of detail there.

I got my 42in version out only this week with a view to giving it a fly soon.
Has a Mills.75 in it and flies strictly for fun.

Have the 60in Keil Kraft Super Slicker plan here.........mmmmmm, it's nice, but will probably never build it.

Sorry about the 42" span for the super slicker. Read it of the spans given on the wing sheet without thinking. As it got you all talking however it has made me think about posting my Super Duper Southerner Slicker Mighty Mite plan. 9" wingspan dynajet powered radio controlled all metal construction.

Doh. I think you're right, this one has rx and escapement shown on the plan. It would be nice to see the earlier (original?) version, if anyone has that.

Bring it on Roger! Someone would be bound to build it, I am constantly amazed and impressed by the things people on the Vintage and Old Timer Designs forum are prepared to tackle, just for the hell of it. Many a model that was deemed to be a no-hoper in the past has been successfully created by this - er - "eccentric" band of modellers, long may it continue!

WACO U.M.F. 1948 Air Trails 34 inch WS

Here's a Waco UMF by Walt Schroder from April 1948 Air Trails pictorial.

When I was very young my dad's friend built this one, It's a beautiful model. He had a Torp 15 in it.

I have no idea what Walt Schroder was thinking when he put an Ohlson 60 in it, it's only a 34 inch wing span.

Talk about overpowered. Made me think of Jimmy Franklin's WACO with the jet engine.

I have it in paper form, but no way to scan it.

A copy can be available if not in a great hurry

Rob
If you look at the site you will see it closed down

Last orders for REPLIKIT will taken on Wednesday 27th April 2011

Replikit will Close on the 30th of April 2011 until the NEW owner re-opens it.

These people seem to have either taken it over or are selling the same things

http://www.greenairdesigns.eu.com/EU...id=1&TreeId=79

perhaps someone can fill us in as to what is happening.

Also not sure if the downloadable plans have printwood as the CD`s certainly do not.

As far as I know Green Air Designs own Replikit and are not selling the products.

I have heard that SAMS models are going to buy it, we shall just have to wait and see.

The downloadable plans did not include printwood. I downloaded a couple of them last year and was disappointed.
