I drew them from the information on the 1948 version and information from Bernard Gross and photos of the original. He told me that the wing was the same. The plan is SAM approved, I have won many SAM events with the models.

Boeing XL-15 plan full size

Looks like quite a few of you were interested in the Boeing XL-15 plan posted by RFJ in answer to my request. Unfortunately the resolution of the scan of the plan was to low for a decent full size image. Ray was kind enough to send me a better scan to play with. Despite the legend on the bottom of the plan claiming a 1/5 scale reproduction it was in fact a 1/4 scale reproduction. For those wishing to read the article that accompanied the plan (recommended) the original post can be found on Page 215 post 3223

Fisrt issue of Aeromodeller

Maybe this is not quite the right place to ask, but would anyone here have a scan of the cover of the first issue of Aeromodeller magazine (was it September or October 1935? - the December 1939 issue is Vol V, No 49).
A friend is writing an historical article for the 75th anniversary of Le Modèle Réduit d'Avion magazine. He already has the cover of Model Airplane News July 1929 (Vol 1 No 1).

I apparently did get the name wrong on the Venetian Blind plane. Maybe I had a faulty source, or a faulty memory? My wife would agree with the second excuse.

Hi 50+,

Do you know the publication and issue that the Sassy Saucer control line plan you posted was scanned from?

Scaleviews, believe it or not, I was actually about to put the mag with the Harris Sassy Saucer into it's box, take the box back into the crawl space, and start on another box of moldy oldies. The mag is the Air Trails Model Annual for 1954. The article is on pages 48 and 49. I scanned the text page, which I am uploading here, and as a personal bonus, I found an exploded view of the Cub .049 Diesel, which I also added to my collection as a guide for when (or if) I try to activate the one I have.

By the way, I also have another, earlier, Sassy Saucer, sheet wood and balsa block, for up to .099. Don't have a date on it, but I'd guess about 1952 AT.

Afterthought: I did not copy the plan page cocked, the page is straight. The plan is cocked on the page.

Sassy Saucer

George Harris' "Sassy Saucer" was in May 1953 Air Trails, starting on p.36.

edit: Oops, 50+ answered while I was looking it up! The 5/53 article looks identical to 50+'s post.

The Air Trails Annuals often reprinted items from the previous year.

Macchi 202

Thanks to all the posters. Here is a Macchi 202 by Bruning. Would anyone have anything for a Fiat Cr32 or Cr42?

Here's one for the experts. Does anyone have the plan for the Scientific 'DYNAMIC' ? The carved fuselage version, not the profile one. Happy searching, Gary
