...a simple quick 'stitch' of the 3rd scale Zlin 126 plans presented in the magazine as above.

I LIKE it...

Cherokee 140 Dick Mathis Flying Models

Here is one I found on an old hard drive. It was the inspiration for an r/c conversion. Flew fantastic with a good hot .40. Roll rate, Unbelievable.

Veco Squaw & Brave Question

Gentlemen,

Is the Veco Brave and Squaw the exact same airplane? My understanding is that the only difference is that the Squaw has flaps and the Brave does not. I would like to build the Brave however, the only set of plans to show up on this forum is for the Squaw.

Regards, Stan

If I remember correctly, the Brave and the Warrior were essentially the same. The Warrior had flaps, the Brave didn't.

Veron

I found a few more Veron plans. I don't know much about these, but they appear to use the same wing with different fuses. They were called a "combi-kit". The combisht.pdf has the printwood.

Hawker Typhoon

Smallish for outdoors only a 32 inch wing.
Author claims he got 1500 flights and the plane weighed 26 ounces, with a 22 ounce wing loading.
Pendulum control.

I'd hate to hand launch this model! With pendulum control the launch would give it full DOWN elevator. Definitely a candidate for r/c!

I tried a pendulum model once when I was young. And yes there must have been a 'art' to that! Hand launch even running and letting it take wing was tedious. ROG somewhat limited success too. Vowed never to try that again. I do love that plan. All that cross bracing is something too! Makes one think about how far we have come with building knowledge, hugh!
