Falcon 56 and Live Wire Trainer plans?

Anybody have a scan of Goldberg's original Falcon 56? I have the kit paper plan, but it's almost unreadable due to glue, sweat, coffee, and sections gone missin'.

Another I'd like to see as a scan is DeBolt's Live Wire Trainer. Several friends started RC in that one. I have a paper plan for that one also, in similar condition.

I have the Falcon 56 scanned.
Send me your e mail in a pm and I'll send them to you.
They're 5 mb.
I also have the deBolt live wire Trainer, but I haven't scanned them yet.

It's a Model Airplane News plan from 1995: A reprint converted to R/C. I used to have it, need to search.

I had the same magazine. the MAN plan was a little different from Pappy's original, size and airfoil.

Hi tri-pacer.

No I don't have any plans of the Thunderbolt, I used to have the MAN issue with Pappy DeBolt's T-Bolt.

A few days ago, I ran across a picture and it made me think about building one as an electric.

I think a few people would like to have one, if and when we find a copy of the plans

Talk about fast action! Yesterday I asked for plan scans for Goldberg's Falcon 56 and Hal DeBolt's Live Wire Trainer, and today I have both

Paul sent me his Falcon (which is a bit too large to post here) and (blush) I found the Live Wire in the deepest recesses of my very own hard drive

This Live Wire plan is not the original, but is a redraw done for Model Builder in 1978 by S.A. Patterson. It looks to be a tracing and slight plan rearrangement, but no structural changes. Happily, it does show the fuselage formers, which are missing on the original. This scan does not, however, show the radio installation, like the 2-tube Citizen-Ship receiver, 3V, 7.5V and 60V batteries and escapement. You'll just have to figure that out for yourself.

For what it's worth:

Having done a little research, this is what has been found. The Hal DeBolt Thunderbolt was also known as the Whizzawing. It was designed in wingspans of 38", 42", & 67". The original plans were published in Flying Aces magazine, December, 1943. There is reference to the DeBolt Thunderbolt appearing in Sam Speaks #152, unsure if that included plans.

Now, to locate a copy of FA,12-'43.

This thread is great and I hope it will continue. Many thanks to all who have contributed!!

Here are the approved plans for S.A.M.:

DeBolt's Thunderbolt is still only a Thunderbolt.

Here's a few more to keep this thing going.
By the way, Bob Holman is laser cutting the Viking. Haven't purchased it yet, too many other projects. But I did have one in the late sixtys with a Cox 15. I'd like to do one in R/C....some day.
