That really looks WAY TOO HEAVY.
Not worthwhile mods, just bling.

I would do it if i had one and i would get a feild of grass that is about 6 inches tall also go as high as you can go but mKe sure you have goos orintation of the heli and do it on a fresh battery for more power (hyperion 550mah would be good becuse it has more power) and then i would try it. But thats just me i try to hover my um t-28 with 25c 160mah thunder power batterys so its up to you then. O and if you try it make sure you get your kids or someone to video tape it and put it on youtube. I will thank you if you land it or crash lol

I also like the thought of the rotor frame acting as heat sink.

I'm a little surprised that with all that hardware, the main rotor hub is still the OEM plastic.

As you all know a member gave me a beautiful TX to fly my 120SR. He is very humble so, I won't mention his name (or not...Kyle). Anyway, I have a stock TX I would like to add to this sale for NOTHING, ZERO, ZILCH. I will ship anywhere within the CONUS. I know the stock TX sucks flying this beautiful machine but, it will get your foot in the door. Some guys even like the stock TX

Mike.

Tim over at Quantum Hobby, is one hell of a guy. He will not BS you into buying anything that you do not need. I am the same mind set Pilgrim, though my Red canopy is bling sexy.

I was lucky enough to smash the stock canopy to smithereens giving me an airtight excuse to replace it with the red one .

In addition to the sheer joy of flying, for a data wonk like me tracking battery performance only adds to the fun. Here are the post-flight voltage and "put back" numbers from yesterday's flights.

The first four flights are 3.00 to 3.50 minute breakin flights on Hyperion 550's.
#5 & #6 are 4.50 minute flights on E-flite 500's.
The last two are 5.00 minute flights also on E-flites.

#1 3.81V 252mA
#2 3.80V 286mA
#3 3.79V 287mA
#4 3.82V 257mA
#5 3.79V 300mA
#6 3.78V 300mA
#7 3.77V 338mA
#8 3.75V 329mA

It seems clear that 5 minute flights are about the limit for the 500's. It remains to be seen what duration I might get from the 550's once they are fully broken in.

I'm loving my Hyperion 550's, and flying 5:30 on each pack and only putting in about 400 mAH on each charge.
