Break Free CLP contains petroleum distillates.
Facts and Myths of petroleum distillates:

I have used this on many plastic parts from the old Zebco fishing reels to the plastic balls and links on my helis (all four of them).

BTW, there's a little saying about using Break Free CLP. A little dab will do ya. You could easily put too much of any lube onto fine/small parts using a needle applicator. Just saying.

To add to what Mike said about the lube,

Tri-Flow Pinpoint Lubricator is another plastic safe light machine oil containing Teflon... very popular here on the forum if you search it

... it already comes in a needle applicator. I douse the crap out of my helis with it

Thanks North. Had seen Tri-Flow mentioned here awhile ago, but it slipped out of the old memory bank. With the wealth of good info that flows out of this group on a daily basis, I really need to start scratching out some hard-copy notes for a quick look-up.
BTW, 44SkyHi suggested this dry lube over on HF. Says safe for all moving parts.

The link you provided is broken. I had to do a little googling. Is this the stuff you are referring to?
http://www.bladeplay.com/item--Sentr...TufGlide--6694

I have to admit, it does look like good stuff. It doesn't say "exactly" what "exhaustive" testing the "military special operations" and "law enforcement agencies" tested this stuff on. It could be anything from their belt buckles to their weapons Will need to research this more.

Obviously I biffed the link copy off HF, but yep, that's the stuff. Product looks good on the surface albeit a bit pricey. Will do same and check it out further and advise.
Thanks for the "Link Bail-Out" Mike !

Yeah, I can get it locally.... one of my LHSs carries it... which is a bonus, I like to buy my hobby related stuff local when I can. If you look around the Tri-Flow site you'll see it comes in many different formats including a dry format which I believe is relatively new.

Gyro Gone?

Tail spins on spool up, the little motor seems to run, but it just won't hold. I use this little heli for the yard. Perhaps the gyro portion of the 3&1 is gone?. This one has been pretty reliable up to now, but I really don't want to invest in a new board.

Thanks

Check your tail rotor. I just glued mine on with thin CA because my heli was spinning. Also, check your wire connections at the motor and at the board.

If the checks pan out, it's probably not your board, it's probably just the tail motor. They go out all to frequently. Easy replacement.
