you do not want a v400d02 I'm pretty sure, never owned one. It's tail is driven by a separate motor and doesn't not use a servo to control pitch. You'll get better response from a v120d01, 4f200 or v450d01, something that's tail is driven by the main motor and controlled by a separate servo to control the pitch of the tail blades. That's my opinion at least.

The bigger the heli the worse a tail motor gets... they work ok on the really little ones, not so much on the bigger ones. And the v400 has brushed motors, which don't last very long.

I know brushed motors don't really last...is the 4f200 hard to fly I had a SR and that was a pain to fly...the 120d03 that I have is great...

For the 4f200, I use Futaba S3114 for cyclic and Align DS420 metal gear for tail

Hi,

I just put in the MKS DS470 and my first test-flights were convincing. You have to turn the receiver by 180 though.

Hi,

I think the pinions are module 0.3. I ordered some from this shop:
http://www.lemo-solar.de/
To widen the hole from 2mm to 2.3mm I used three drills consecutively: 2.1, 2.2 2.3 mm. This kept the hole centered. The scorpion 2208- 4660KV runs smoothly with the new pinion and fits well into the 4f200. I had do enlarge the mounting holes and remove part of the base cover, that was all.

Shoot. I'm sorry about that stretch. If it is wrong I will purchase the pinions from you and reimburse the postage as well. I forgot that I just used the stock 4F200 pinion bored out. LMK.

Wish I could say the same about the fuselage from eTamiya,

but since I am going to my LHS to change the V450 battery terminals I might check out the fuselages they have there. Contemplating removing the scale body guns, keeping the colors and using medical emergency decals on it or keeping the guns and doing a camo paint job on it, using Army decals.

Well crap never got any notification from them. Asked for a refund. Any way to verify what mod pinion is required before I try and order from someone else? What about ordering a different size shaft in 2mm in stead of 2.3mm? Who sells those? Are 2mm .4 or .3 mod pinions easier to get?

Hi,

it is module 0.3. The modul is calculated as follows: modul = diameter[mm]/#teeth. Enlarging a 2mm hole to fit a 2.3 mm shaft is really no problem if you have access to a drill press.

Buy an CB180D brushed motor and use it's pinion, minus 1T comparing with stock F200.
