So I watched "The Final Countdown" last night after dinner. I didn't get the point of the movie until the very end, then it sort of made sense.

HT,

The storyline is a little weak except for that end point of them being from the past which puts them in the futrure as RICH and able to send them back in the first place......and.

Well I like the F-14 verses Zero (T-6) filming anyway.

They need to remake the movie, except this time we knock the daylights out of the meatballs!
Or just as they are about to launch their Zeros a Nimitz class carrier appears
just over the horizon, or several big nuclear subs surface aimed at the Jap carriers!

Yeah the aviation part was better than some films.

I like the part where the senator guy was blaming FDR for the "secret ship and rocket planes" plus you have to love the Cold War humor in the very beginning.

The one gripe I had was the flare gun blowing up the whole helicopter. Other than that it was a funny movie.

Anybody going to be on tonight? I should be on around 5:00

HT,

I have about 30 hours in an SH-3 Sea King helicopter as an Aircrewman. There was always leaking fuel, hydralic fluid or some other flammable liquid dripping out of those things.....we who flew in them found that part of the movie "very believeable"....HA.

It has been kind of quiet around here lately. I was on last night but only saw JT for a few.

I tried some of those planes I listed and none are all that great. So that was a bust.
I am not going to be on tonight but should tomorrow,

Tonight is the BCS Championship Game Auburn and Oregon. So I may not be on. Depends on how the game is going.
